+Advice for Trail Runners: Make slipping in mud a thing of the past with the ultra grippy INOV8 Women's Mudtalon Trail Running Shoes. Very few trail running shoes offer this level of grip on steep and technical terrain.
Underfoot Feel
8 mm talon-like studs penetrate loose terrain and dig into mud. In order to maintain grip in boggy terrain, a unique goat's hoof design prevents mud accumulating between the studs.
INOV8's STICKYGRIP rubber should help you safely navigate flat wet rock surfaces.
While most hill running shoes feature minimal midsole cushioning, the INOV8 Women's Mudtalon offer a good level of protection. Firstly, bouncy POWERFLOW PRO cushioning and an absorbent BOOMERANG Footbed offer lots of protection. Additionally, a rock-plate should stop sharp objects - such as stones - penetrating through the cushioning.
Upper Fit
We stock the precision version of the INOV8 Women's Mudtalon at Run4It. This is because this shape of last is likely to promote the best confidence on steep terrain and cambers.
As you'll be using these in demanding conditions, they're made with a tough ballistic nylon upper. There's also a toe guard to protect your feet. Finally, a gusseted tongue reduces the likelihood of debris entering the shoes.
Ideal Run Type
Choose the INOV8 Women's Mudtalon Trail Running Shoes if you're running on soft, muddy, steep, and technical terrain. The protective and durable attributes make these suitable for both training and racing.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
